The Assunta Anichini company was founded in 1912 by the sisters Assunta and Elvira Biondi. It immediately had a lot of success for its accurate embroideries on precious fabrics and for its production of household linen. At the beginning, the business was mainly concerned with embroidery and trousseaus. In 1923, the business moved from Lungarno Vespucci to the 15th century Palazzo Ricasoli, where it is still located today, on Via del Parione 59/r. Currently, the business is in the hands of the sisters’ descendant Sergio Anichini, who runs it together with his wife Maria Teresa and their shop assistant Carla.
