History

Since 1961

In the historic Piazza della Signoria, where the Banco Ambrosiano is located today, Bizzarri opened his shop for photography, painting, and restoration materials in 1842. The business, still in the hands of the same family, moved to its current location on Via Condotta at 32/R in 1960. As in the past, today the shop offers its customers a wide assortment of raw materials for those preparations needed for special artistic processing: waxes, resins, solvents, and pigments for restoring paintings, monuments, and antique furniture of great value; preparations for painting stringed musical instruments; glassware, and chemicals for small workshops and for oenology. The most assiduous customers include the Superintendency of Fine Arts, many artists and photographers, who have always purchased from Bizzarri materials for special washes.
