Since 1938
Laura Valori Chiavacci, who ran a business dealing in colonials and related items on Ariento Street, ceased operations in 1938 and decided to open a place called “Bar le Rose” in Italian Unity Square. Over the years, several partners and owners succeeded one another. The bar, which is still a meeting place and reference point for workers and residents of the area, is part of the Palazzo Cerretani complex and has four windows overlooking a large outdoor space. Inside, it features original marble and stone finishes from the 1930s.
