The property was acquired in the early 1950s by Lorenzo Billi’s paternal grandmother, the current owner, and was immediately converted into a professional accommodation facility, while still reserving spaces for the family members of the Billi family, who occasionally settled there. The structure has undergone modifications and improvements each time the management was passed on to another family member. Lorenzo Billi recounts that during the renovations, numerous objects were found that tell the story of “Casa Billi,” such as old business cards advertising the service of “running water in all rooms,” which at the time was not a common feature; an antique English shaving set dated 1959; the family crest on canvas, as well as the even older “Royal Decree” for room rentals, still perfectly preserved.
