History

Since 1970

In 1970, COFi (Centro Ottico Fiorentino) was founded as the Contact Lens Application Technical Center of Galileo, coexisting with a warehouse for ophthalmic lenses (for eyeglasses) inside Palazzo Pucci. It was one of the first centers in Florence to apply contact lenses. In the late 1970s, the optical center became independent from the Galileo warehouse and focused exclusively on contact lenses. In 1990, it moved just a few meters from inside Palazzo Pucci to its current location on Via dei Pucci. In the late 1990s, it expanded its products and services and resumed dealing with eyeglasses. Since its founding, COFi has been committed to continuous updates, keeping pace with technological advancements.
