History
Since 1946, 29 Maggio
The Civaie business was founded in 1946 on Via Reginaldo Giuliani, near Piazza Dalmazia, by brothers Sergio and Adolfo Scopetani. Later, in the 1950s, Adolfo and his wife Anna took full control of the shop. Initially, the business focused on the sale of legumes such as beans, chickpeas, lentils, yellow flour, sweet flour, animal feed, garden and vegetable seeds, as well as items like tripods, cookware, flower pots, and clay pots, along with house slippers. Over the years, the business expanded by adding more and more products. Today, it is Francesco, the son, who continues his father’s trade, able to offer advice on planting seasons, plant care, or how to cook legumes and prepare the right seed mixture for every type of animal. Francesco now offers a wide range of domestic and international civaie, while still maintaining his parents’ tradition of selling old products, integrated with newer ones.
