History
Since 1939
Dini Caffè was founded in 1939 by Alberto Dini, who opened an artisanal coffee roasting business in the historic center of Florence. In 1966, Alberto transformed the roasting facility on Via dei Bastioni into the current location of Dini Caffè, following the destruction of the previous location caused by the 1966 flood. The company’s journey continued in the 1980s with his daughters Elisabetta and Laura, who, in 1996, founded the Associazione Caffè Speciali Certificati along with other Italian roasters—an association aimed at protecting coffee quality. Today, the business is run by Elisabetta’s daughters, Serena and Benedetta.
