History

Since 1937

It was Raffaello Sestini who founded the business in 1937, selling, as a novelty for the time, bottled wine in flasks and bottles instead of bulk or on-tap wine, which was the common practice. He also offered a selection of the best Italian liquors. After the war, alongside national liquors, foreign ones were added to the offerings, as well as mineral waters, various soft drinks, and beers. In 1961, the management of the bottling shop passed to Romano Bussotti, who, together with his wife Annalisa, expanded the cellars, allowing for an increase in the variety of products. In the early 1980s, their sons Marco and Marcello, the current managers, joined the family business, introducing the sale of specialty foods and sweets. Recently, the establishment became the first wine shop in the city to offer online sales, enabling a significant expansion of product distribution, even internationally, where the demand for Italian wines is continuously growing.
