In this shop, the owner Paolo Peri has spent much of his life. In 1963, when the bridge at Santa Trinita was still inaccessible and wine arrived in 54-liter demijohns, Paolo worked as a deliveryman for Mrs. Rita Benucci, who was then the owner of the wine shop, and before her, it was Mr. Bertelli. After returning from military service, Mr. Paolo Peri took over as the owner and, since then, along with his wife Paola, has managed the business, transforming the wine shop on Via Maggio, which had opened in 1957, into an enoteca specialized in the sale of wines, oils, and liquors.
