History
Since Inizi '900
The pharmacy was opened by Dr. Luigi Codecà, likely after the Unification of Italy, and some of its furnishings seem to date back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Unfortunately, the sales counters were lost in the 1966 flood, a fate shared by many businesses in the historic center, and were replaced with glass and metal counters. The original setup still includes a few Ginori vases, some glass bottles, and a precision scale. The Codecà pharmacy also prepares homeopathic and dietary medicines, and provides health and beauty products. In 2012, it moved to Via Baccio da Montelupo, at number 159.
