The workshop, founded by Angelo Filistrucchi in 1720, is the oldest business in Florence, handed down for generations from father to son. It started out as a hair and makeup shop. Over time, it specialised more and more in the production of wigs and masks for the theatre, attaining national and international fame, and leading the business to collaborate with important film productions and with significant figures on the artistic scene. The interiors are characterised by the presence of historic wooden mannequins that were made to measure for various commissions.
