History

Since 1904

The store was founded as a photographic business in 1904 under the name Foto Peruzzi. Elio and Ida were the original owners, and the business was conducted on the top floor of the building to take advantage of the natural sunlight for photography. Around the 1920s, the store was moved to its current location on the ground floor. In 1936, Arturo Fani, the father of the current owner, began working at the store as an employee. After a break during the war, in 1948, Arturo took over the business in partnership. In 1952, he obtained his optician diploma and became the sole owner of the shop. In 1970, Arturo was joined by his son Alessandro, who expanded the optical section and became the owner in 1983. Continuing the family tradition, in 2007, Alessandro’s son Jacopo joined the business, following in the footsteps of his grandfather and father, and further developed the contactology and digital photography sectors.
