History

Since primi dell '800

Known as the “guest quarters of Palazzo Strozzi” in the 15th century, since the rooms were used by the illustrious Strozzi family to accommodate their guests, at the beginning of the 1800s it was known as the “Locanda del Pellicano”, while towards the end of the century and until 1918 it was called the “Grand Hotel d’Europa”. Later, it took the name Pensione Beacci and, since 1978, it has been managed by the Bechi family, the current owner, under the name “Hotel Tornabuoni Beacci”.
