Some books and period photos recount how the restaurant activity began in the premises at Piazza della Signoria No. 2 as early as 1880. In 1949, the restaurant was purchased by Giovanna Innocenti’s father, the current owner, who, together with her husband Alberto Manzi, expanded the business to include a bar and pizzeria.
The establishment is located on the ground floor of a prestigious palace dating back to the 1200s, and stands out for its interior rooms, which still preserve the original exposed walls from that period.
