The restaurant Il Grande Nuti is located near the Piazza del Duomo and Piazza San Lorenzo, in the historic center of Florence. The establishment, active for over fifty years, is recognized with the regional mark as the first pizzeria in Florence. It is situated next to a 13th-century tower house and overlooks a historic courtyard. The building housing the restaurant was once an ancient college for the Padri Scolopi, built in the second half of the 17th century. Inside, the restaurant features exposed brick walls and vaulted ceilings, decorated with antique prints. The new management has expanded the offerings by introducing freshly made pasta, displayed in the window through a counter that allows passersby to admire the chefs at work.
