History
Since 1979
In 1954, Fabio Bucciarelli opened a workshop dedicated to the restoration and imitation of antique frames. Massimiliano Sernissi worked there as an apprentice and, in the early 1980s, after the owner’s death, took over the business. Massimiliano, affectionately nicknamed “Leone” for his proud and determined character, passionately and skillfully carried out the restoration of frames, altarpieces, tabernacles, and the gold leaf backgrounds of paintings. This was all done with the help of his daughters, Simona and Valentina, who took over the business in 2008. In Leone’s workshop, highly appreciated and sought after internationally, frames in every historical style are made. Over the years, the workshop has carried out work for some of the most important museums in the world, framing, among other things, paintings by Pollock and Morandi.
