Piazza della Repubblica

History

Since 1938

The shop began operating in 1938 with religious items and, very soon afterwards, Ms Elena Moranduzzo included decorative articles, gold and silver costume jewellery, and various embroidery items and knick-knacks. The store remained open for the entire duration of the war. In 1966, the flood destroyed practically everything; the premises were totally invaded by water. With many sacrifices, however, they started again, continuing until today. Moranduzzo has always been a landmark for all Florentines, and not only Florentines.
