History

Since 1948

In 1948, the father-in-law of the current manager opened this small goldsmith’s workshop inside the goldsmith’s house. A real artisan workshop, with a strong Renaissance flavour, at the Casa dell’Orafo al Ponte Vecchio, in the same monastery where the Medici family wished to gather the Florentine goldsmiths. From that time until today, the masters of the Florentine goldsmith’s art have worked here, handing down their ancient craft from generation to generation. A workshop that tells of the passion, art, and tradition, the creativity of Florence, the industriousness of its people, the history that has made this city great and made it unique over the centuries. Here jewels are created on commission, precious metals are engraved, seals and heraldic coats of arms are made, and jewels are restored, modified and renewed. A plain, authentic, and original environment, unchanged over time in its furniture and tools that, as in the past, are used to create and restore jewellery and objets d’art.
