History
Since fine '800, anni '50
Once a tariff station for Chianti wine at the barrier of San Niccolò, in the early 1800s it was transformed into a grocery store with a wine bar. During the renovation, after the flood of 1966, the crypt of the nearby church of San Niccolò, dating back to the year 1000, came to light in the cellars used for storing food. It is a rare example of Florentine Romanesque architecture and today it is an integral part of the venue. In 1970, the current sign was placed, combining the ancient business of the wine bar with that of the restaurant with typical Tuscan cuisine.
