History

The business was established in 1969 by Elena and Primetto Fontani for the sale of photographic items. The business evolved in the late 1970s, when there was a real boom in photo development and printing. Meanwhile, in addition to specializing in the sale of high-quality photographic equipment, the optical department also expanded. Over time, the business grew to involve more family members: their children Stefano, Stefania, and Alessandra. Later, Bruno, Stefania’s husband, and Donatella, Stefano’s wife, became part of the family business. At the start of the new millennium, Eleonora, Stefano’s daughter, joined, thus reaching the third generation. The two areas of optics and photography are now operated in separate locations.
