The business was opened by the current owner, Gabriella Parrini, in 1968, in an area that was then surrounded by the gardens of Villa Demidoff. Initially, the store specialized in optical services, such as vision testing and eyewear repairs, as well as retail sales of photo-optical items. Later, with the involvement of the owner’s daughter, the store expanded its offerings to include retail sales of costume jewelry and clothing items.
