In 1876, the Cherubini family took over this location, already the site of a previous bakery, dedicating itself to the business of bread-making and selling groceries. Subsequently, the artisanal business was interrupted, so that only the business of selling various types of groceries was maintained. Unfortunately, with the Flood of 1966, the original furnishings were lost, in particular the marble sales counter and the characteristic terracotta jars where the olive oil, which was sold in bulk at the time, was stored. The shop sign is particularly special – the original one that was saved from the Arno’s waters.
