In the relevant goods sector, the Profumeria Invicta is one of the most well-stocked and well-known shops in the city. With its original shop windows, it enriches the urban views along Via Ricasoli.Founded in 1946 by Nassi Mario, the company, which is located in a historic building on Via Ricasoli, initially specialised in the production of hairdresser hoods and later in the sale of hairdressing supplies. In the ‘50s the range of goods was expanded by introducing perfumery and costume jewellery accessories. In the ‘60s the company collaborated with the school for hairdressers and aesthetics INVICTA A.S.A. In 1960 the shop’s decor was partly renovated, but it suffered various kinds of damage caused by the flood in 1966. In spite of this, the shop has kept both the furnishings and the shop windows unchanged over time. Today, the shop is run by the third generation, the daughter and grandson of Mario Nassi. Since the 1960s, the business has also specialised in the retail of hair accessories.
