The Red Light Rock Music business, located inside a characteristic niche of Piazza San Lorenzo, began when Lara Bazzani and her brother decided to differentiate the offerings of the two stores inherited from their grandfather Renato, located at units 40/r and 42/r. The store at 40/r became a specialized shop offering rock, metal, and dark-style clothing and accessories. The streetfront is marked by a sign reading “Long Live Rock & Roll,” a display of t-shirts, and neon light decorations. Access to the two small vaulted rooms that make up the shop is via a staircase. These rooms originally belonged to the Ximenian Astronomical Observatory and the structure of the Torre de’ Rondinelli.
