Since 1924
The Sabatini restaurant, which originally opened in 1924 on nearby Via Valfonda, moved to its current location in 1932 due to the construction of the new Santa Maria Novella Railway Station. The most recent transformation of the space occurred in 1966 when the rear garden was closed off to allow for a new classic-style design and the installation of air conditioning.
Previously managed by the Sabatini family, the restaurant has been owned since 1978 by the FIVE company, under the management of Schiavi Angelo & C. s.a.s. Despite the change in ownership, the restaurant has preserved its elegant and refined atmosphere, maintaining its reputation as an international dining destination. It has been recognized with numerous culinary awards throughout the years, further cementing its place in Florence’s gastronomic scene.
