History

Since 1859

The importance of this business lies in its double purpose as a shop and as an artisan workshop, producing high-quality traditional products. The Sbigoli family started the business in 1857 in the district of Sant’Ambrogio. Initially, the production concerned bricks, stoves, and terracotta vases. In the 1920s, it moved to its present location on Via Sant’Egidio and the range of products was extended to include table ceramics as well. The flood of 1966 severely damaged the shop and the ceramic works it contained. The business was later taken over by the current owners, the Adami family, who have maintained and preserved the original artisanal techniques.
