Since 1954
The business was opened as a haberdashery, named Silvana, by Silvana Pezzati and Aldo Lenzi, the parents of Gioia and grandparents of Alice. Merceria Profumeria Silvana, opened in 1953 on Via Palazzo dei Diavoli, was founded by Aldo Lenzi and Silvana Pezzati in the Isolotto district, coinciding with the establishment of the neighborhood, strongly supported by Mayor La Pira, who handed over the keys to the first public housing in 1954. Over the years, the store has expanded in size and variety of products offered, but its distinctive character—based on a straightforward and trusting relationship with the neighborhood’s residents—remains to this day.
