History
Since 1855
The origin of the name, Palazzo Giuntini, goes back to a noble Florentine family of the 1400s, while the current Palace was rebuilt in 1855 with the typical architectural features of the 1800s, which also identify the years when Florence was the capital of Italy. Intended to be a hotel, it was called Hotel Royal de la Paix and, in 1897, was taken over by Gerardo Kraft, who had the fourth floor built and called it “Grand Hotel”. It was reopened in 1986, having been closed for a long time, during which it underwent a significant restoration.
