Giovanni Baccani’s print and frame workshop was founded in 1903 in Via della Vigna Nuova in the prestigious Palazzo Berardi. Soon the founder began to reproduce prints with views of Florence and its museums. The idea of producing Christmas cards with artistic views of the city earned him the nomination of Knight of the Republic, as an acknowledged promoter of Florence’s image. In 2009, the company moved to Borgo Ognissanti, faithfully reproducing the appearance of the old shop with the original furnishings, decorated with Latin inscriptions that are the founder’s moral testament.
