Since 1948
The grandfather of the current owners started in the business at the same time as attending school, when he was just over 10 years old, as a workshop boy. In the immediate post-war period, he opened his workshop in the present location where the business is still conducted. In 2015, an acknowledgement was issued by the CNA (National Confederation of Artisans) for his 70th birthday. In 2016, the workshop was awarded the Bottega Artigiana Fiorentina Award by the San Giovanni Battista society. The business is located in the same premises as the grandfather’s; originally, there was an entrance to the house from the workshop.
From 1945 to 1970, it was a sole proprietorship “Tappezzeria Iandelli Aligi”; from 1971 to 1997, it became “Tappezzeria Iandelli di Aligi e Figli” (non-financial corporation); from 1997 to 2015 it was “Tappezzeria Iandelli di Iandelli Mauro e Franco” (limited partnership); and from 2015 to today: “Tappezzeria Iandelli di Mauro Iandelli” (limited partnership).
