History

Since 1950

The Azzarri butcher is a rarity given its location, so central to the city’s flow of tourists. It keeps the tradition active, despite the changes that the urban fabric has undergone.
In the centre of Florence, a stone’s throw from Via Tornabuoni, the old Azzarri butcher is a reference point in the Florentine tradition for the quality of its products. Founded in 1950 by Fernando Azzarri, the butcher is now managed by his daughter Daniela who, together with her husband Giorgio Caterini, runs the business with dedication, carefully selecting the best fresh meat, especially the typical Florentine steak and Colonnata lard, salami, and cured hams, and all the typical products of Tuscan cuisine. This small shop, which carries every delicacy and where you can also find exclusive products, is now even known outside the Florentine circle, so that many tourists stop in this shop to take home a slice of this purely Tuscan tradition.
