Since 1946
The company was founded in 1946 by Ferruccio Beneforti and has been handed down for three generations from father to son, until arriving at Simone Beneforti, the current manager. Simone represents a family of Florentine craftsmen that has been working uninterruptedly in restoring and preserving art furniture for 60 years. He combines the solid roots of experience and high manual skills deriving from the family tradition, continuously updated with new skills in materials and recent conservation techniques. Proof of this is the accreditation with the major Italian Superintendencies and the complexity of the works that the latter has carried out. Simone’s clientele is also private, in line with the “tradition” of the family “workshop”, and he carefully cultivates his particular specialisation in restoring complex inlays. He also collaborates with university research institutes and private laboratories for diagnostics, thus combining his restoration business with that of a teacher of wood restoration.
