History

Since 1908

In 1908, Edoardo Pestelli, following his experience at the Marchesini jeweller’s, launched his own goldsmith business, becoming a landmark for the upper middle class at the time. The artisanal techniques of the goldsmith’s art have been handed down to the present day, and perfected by the great-grandson Tommaso Pestelli, thanks to his goldsmith restoration training consolidated at the Opificio delle Pietre Dure and the Accademia delle Belle Arti. Today, Tommaso works in the atelier creating together with his wife Eva Aulmann, an established artist in the world of graphic art and a source of inspiration and innovative ideas to create works of art of great artistic and cultural value. Each creation is conceived in seeking a balance between craftsmanship and natural elements, observing the shape of a precious stone, its colour, transparencies, and light effects. Since 2010, some of the Pestelli workshop’s most spectacular works of art have been exhibited at the prestigious Museo degli Argenti in Florence; since 2011, the company has been recognised as an “Impresa Storica d’Italia” (Historic Italian Business).
