Pizzeria Cristallo is a family business, taken over by Antonio, the father of the current owner, in March 1976. The previous owners, the Stefanini brothers, had inherited the pizzeria from their father, who had been running it since 1946. The current management strives to maintain the typical Florentine culinary traditions, producing both square and round pizzas, focaccias, cecina, castagnaccio, and schiacciata with grapes. In recent years, the pizzeria has been included in a famous Japanese guide. The establishment is not only known for its cuisine but also for the building it occupies, which was once a stable and storage area; a stone plaque stands as a testament to this, commemorating how Francesco Falconcini, prior of the church, had constructed the vault and restored “all the houses and all the others of said church.
