At the beginning of the 19th century, the restaurant was a wine bar where the coachmen would stop by. Later, they started serving hot first courses until they became a genuine trattoria. As the management changed, so did the name: “La Vespa”, “Da Corrado, il Coco Lezzone”, and, finally, just “Coco Lezzone”. The name “Coco Lezzone” was invented in the 40s, when the restaurant was run by Corrado, a very good cook, but one who did not excel in personal hygiene. The restaurant has been run by the Paoli family since 1971 and is currently in its second generation.
